Speaker Bagbin Puts on Kente to Parliament Today.

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban S. K. Bagbin stepped into the chambers of Ghana's parliament in pomp and splendor.

He is adorned in rich kente and a jumper perefected with a headgear. This has set tongues asking the change that has come today.

Last year, the Speaker announced he would take steps to amend the dress code of members in the house. What we see today is certainly in line with his earlier decision, and quite a number of Ghanaians have welcomed it in good fate.

Many think it is better to portray the African culture most importantly in such settings while others believe his dress conduct is totally out of place.

Parliament is expected to deliberate on issues such as the E-levy and among others at today's sitting.
